A few weeks back i had the pleasure of meeting Jesse backstage at MeLo-X’s show (more coming from this next week). When I learned of his free show for the organization Suit Dreams, which collects donated suits to give to kids going to prom, I decided to reach out to Jesse and see if I could document some of the day and tell some of the story. We linked in Jersey yesterday and headed to the venue for soundcheck. Eventually folks came out to dressed to the nines in support of the cause. If you were there, you know Jesse and his band put on a quality show in the intimate space, and they did so in a tiny space with only two PA speakers and a single monitor. We’re in the business of making it work, folks. The night ended on the street with Jesse singing a tune for a young girl who traveled all the way from Michigan but wasn’t in time for the show. Dreams coming true. Schwaza, sir Boykins. I look forward to building with you in the future.
