This event was held for the release of Skyzoo’s latest project, “The Great Debater.” He was also on the bill for this evening, but I had to depart before he performed. First up was The Kid Daytona, who attacked the stage coolly yet confidently and set a solid pace for the remaining performers. Next was Jasmine Solano, who performed a full rap set on this particular evening. Backed by DJ Wonder, she immediately turned heads as she attacked with no hesitation, making rear venue dwellers migrate towards the front of the Brooklyn space. She brought out Telli from Ninjasonik and the Philly brethren, Gilbere Forte, to close the four track set. She wasn’t on stage long, but she certainly made an impact.
