A lady-filled line-up took the illustrious SOB’s stage this past Monday eve. My friend, and regular on this-here site, Jasmine Solano performed the most in-depth set I’ve ever seen from her, including dancers, Stevie Lee & Hannah, and features from Shyvonne and Telli. I saw Nitty Scott perform at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival where she made fans out of festival-goers who were certified Q-Tip stans. Her set Monday night was much longer, but her energy was the same as she thrived off of crowd members shouting her lyrics along with her. Ana Tijoux made her only stop in NYC in 2011. The Chilean MC brought a live band with her and entertained the energetic crowd with a diverse set. had little knowledge of her before that evening, but I was impressed by the Grammy-nominated artist.
